The mission of Episcopal
Community Services
is to work
alongside others
to live out
the Gospel imperative
to love and care for all.

The Call

“When it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, ‘This is a deserted place, and the hour is now late; send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.’” Jesus said to them, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” (Matthew 14)

Jesus’ great concern was always for “the least among us.” In that spirit, Episcopal Community Services will respond to the needs of the community at large and will also provide support to parishes where the Church’s mission of justice and charity is lived out every day. Congregational volunteers listen to and respond to the suffering of the economically poor and the poor in spirit. They feed, clothe, and assist those in need. All are welcome.

“Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And all ate and were filled; and they took up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full”

This is the Gospel’s promise. Let us claim it, in service to our communities.

The Rev. Charles F. McCarron
Executive Director
